This security application follows a totally different anti piracy strategy. Allowing low level copying has been known to increase sales/uptake of software. This security app allows a vendor to track use of their software and includes a feature which enables software which has been widely copied to be remotely disabled.

•Each copy of vendor’s software is stamped with a 256 bit unique ID.
•End-user can run the software without registration.
•Security app sends a beacon via the internet (if the computer is connected) to a web based monitoring tool when the software is run.
